Product Description

This second in our series "Collections of Book Collections and Huge Books Made Manageable" is "British Authors," with 50 files containing 643 books. This CD contains works by British authors (English, Scottish, Welsh, and Irish), regardless of the subject matter (fiction, children's books, religion, and non-fiction).

This CD has .doc (Word) files instead of .txt (plain text). With Word files I'm able to add internal links, which in the case of very large books can make it much easier to get the part of the book you are interested in. I'm also able to put a whole series of books in a single file, with easy navigation. (If you prefer, you can get this with files in Rich Text Format (.rtf) instead of .doc. Just note that that is what you want in the comments section of the order form, or send us an email letting us know your choice).

Why would you want more than one book in a single file? Putting all the books of a series or all the books by a single author together in a single file makes it easy for you to quickly search or browse or sample or bounce back and forth among all those related works (without having to open and close separate files).

Both the index and the book files are in .doc (Word) or Rich Text format (.rtf). As usual, you click on a file title in the index to open a particular file. Then that file has internal links to let you easily navigate to the book or story or poem you are interested in. Each file is very large -- some files contain the full text of dozens of books.
