This comprehensive, self-directed program guides you through healing techniques for lower back issues. You are encouraged to educate yourself about your anatomy and condition, and to take a more active role in your own healing process. The program includes simple yoga-based movements and breath work, plus advice on examining and adjusting your lifestyle in ways that will enhance and support your ongoing healing.
The book (in Word [.doc] format on CD) consists of 30 short chapters, one for each day of the program. Each chapter deals with a different aspect of healing the lower back and emphasizes its place in the bigger picture of the body, mind and spirit connection. The chapters black and white photos to show one pose or movement for each day, as well as a healing affirmation for meditation purposes.
The program grew directly out of Ms. Seltzer's personal experience with herniated discs and spondylolithesis, her recovery from these conditions, and ultimately, her work with others in private practice.
