Dick is a retired colonel (US Army), retired educator (superintendent of schools in Philadelphia suburbs), and a retired actor. He is now active as an artist.
He grew up in Washington, DC, and his ancestors came from Pensylvania Dutch country, (near Palmyra, PA). He now lives in Boston.
